    What is Commerce study?

     

    The Commerce stream can be defined as a study of trade & business activities like the exchange of goods & services from producer to the final consumer.     Eligibility Criteria

    Under Graduate: Candidates who complete class 12 with Business Studies, Accountancy and Economics as major subjects are eligible to pursue the Commerce field.

    Post Graduate: Graduation in any stream. Some universities accept graduation degree in Business or Management studies for eligibility with at least 45% of marks.

    Doctorate: Graduates should have completed a Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks in the general category or 50% of marks in the reserved category are eligible to study Doctor’s degree in Commerce.

    Diploma: Bachelor’s degree or any equivalent qualified degree with a minimum of 50% of marks is eligible to pursue the diploma course.

     

    Enrollment Process

    Under Graduate: Entrance scores or class 12 scores are considered for the enrolment process. 

    Post Graduate: Graduation scores or entrance exam scores. Some universities will conduct a personal interview for admission.

    Doctorate: Last graduation scores or entrance exam scores are considered for the enrolment process.

    Diploma: Entrance exam scores or Bachelor’s degree scores are considered for the admission process based on the college one choose to study.

     

    Entrance Exams: CAT, MAT, UGC NET, DUET, AMU, DET, ICET.

    Under Graduate: A Bachelor’s graduate in Commerce can work as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, Accounts Manager, Business Executive, or Tax Consultant. 

    Post Graduate: A Master’s graduate can work as a teacher by clearing the UGC NET or JRF exams. The graduates can also work as an Assistant Accountant, Personal Finance Consultant.
